The Soldano/Caswell X99 is a guitar amplifier used by Prince. It was part of his rack setup from the Love Symbol Album era to the Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic era. It is a MIDI-controlled preamp and was combined with a Mesa/Boogie Strategy 500 for his cleans sounds, with his distorted sounds coming from a Soldano SLO-100.
Two of these amplifiers are currently in the collection at Paisley Park.
