The AKG C12 is a microphone used by Prince. Prince first used the C12 on the Controversy and 1999 albums. From Batman onward, it became Prince’s preferred vocal microphone. He had a C12 set up on a boom mic over the mixing desk at Paisley Park Studio A, where it is currently on display.
