The Roland GP-16 is a multi-effects rack unit used by Prince. Prince started to use rack effects in the Batman-era, including a Roland GP-16 and Roland FC-100 and EV-5 controllers. Prince used this system for pitch shifting effects. After the Musicology tour Prince stopped using his rack system so stopped using the GP-16, using a Digitech Whammy WH-4 for pitch shifting instead.
