The Hofner 500/1 is an electric bass owned by Prince. It is a version of the famous “Beatle Bass” played by Paul McCartney. It appears in the Prince - Guitar & Bass book, and although it is claimed that Prince used it live and in the studio, it is not known when it was used.
The bass is currently in the collection at collection at Paisley Park.
