The Gibson L6-S Deluxe is an electric guitar played by Prince. It was Prince’s main guitar when promoting the Prince album, playing it on American Bandstand and his first tour. The guitar originally had a similar shape to a Les Paul. Prince later added lights and fake fur and removed the lower horn – DIY modifications he apparently did himself.
Although he stopped using the guitar after the Dirty Mind tour, he kept it in his collection. It is currently on display at Paisley Park and appears in the Prince - Guitar & Bass book.
