Sheila E
Sheila E is a vocalist and percussionist who worked with Prince from the 1980s to the 2010s. She was a member of Prince's band from 1987 to 1989.
Sheila E first met Prince in 1978, although they first worked together in 1984 on the song Erotic City. Sheila E featured on Around The World in a Day, Parade and Sign O The Times, including the singles Pop Life, Girls and Boys and U Got The Look. After the Revolution disbanded, she became the drummer and musical director of Prince's band, touring Sign O The Times. She is believed to play on many of the songs on Lovesexy, including the song Eye No with the Lovesexy band.
Although Sheila E left Prince's band in 1989, she continued working with him live and in the studio. She appears on Diamonds and Pearls, Musicology, 3121 and Planet Earth.
