Michael B (born Michael Bland) was Prince's drummer from 1990 to 1996. He was a member of the New Power Generation.
Michael B joined Prince’s band for the Nude tour. He made his first studio appearance on Diamonds and Pearls. He left the New Power Generation in 1996, with his last studio recordings appearing on Chaos and Disorder. In 2004, Michael B reunited with Prince and NPG bandmate Sonny T for a series of recordings that appeared on 3121, Planet Earth and Lotusflow3r. The trio also played live in 2009.
Michael B now plays with a reunited NPG.
